Stables' very popular summer Horsemanship Summer Camp will, again, be
offered this year under two covered arenas!
This program consists of one-week camps that meet Monday through Friday.
A rider may enroll in one or more sessions. The horses and ponies can
accommodate the true beginner as well as the more advanced rider. The
camp is an equestrian camp only and the motto is to have fun but be
SAFE! The camp is located at 7807 Fair Oaks (at the corner of Walnut
Hill and Fair Oaks in northeast Dallas).
ACTIVITIES AND FEES:
Level IV Advanced Camp: New this year! Open to riders comfortable
jumping 2’6” with basic dressage skills. Intense theory and practicum on
riding, training, nutrition, and vet skills with testing at the end of
the session.
Limited Enrollment. Longer camp hours. Fee: $500
Level III Intermediate Camp: For riders who have taken lessons
more than a year and can comfortably walk/trot/canter and take small
fences. Tuition for this camp is $450. Enrollment limited.
Level II Beginner/Intermediate Camp: Includes arena and trail
riding, horsemanship theory, games and lots of fun! Minimum age 8 yrs.
old. Fee $375 per session.
Level I Pony Camp: Open to 5-7 yr olds with two different
sessions each week. One session meets from 8:30-10:30 and the second one
from 11-1. Each session is a separate camp. All camps are under a
covered arena. These spots fill fast! $375 per session.
Adult Evening Camp: from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The fee for this
camp is $475 will include group dressage, small fences and private lunge
lessons. Enrollment limited. Level of riding will be determined by
applicant’s prior experience.
THE INSTRUCTORS:
REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION:
Proper riding attire is mandatory for all campers. Campers must wear
long pants (no shorts), hard sole shoes with a heel or boots, and ASTM/SEI
certified riding helmets. (Some helmets are available for riders to
borrow during camp). Each camper should bring a thermos of water labeled
with his or her name each day. A cotton bandana that can be wetted is
also very helpful in our hot Texas weather.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required with the
registration form. These camps are first come/first served and are quite
popular so sign up early!! Entries are to be mailed and are registered
according to postmark. Checks should be made out to: TRIPLE M

WE MUST HAVE SIGNED WAIVERS AND RELEASES FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND CAMP.
ALTHOUGH OUR SAFETY RECORD IS EXCELLENT, WE REQUIRE THAT ALL CAMPERS
ATTENDING BE COVERED BY MEDICAL INSURANCE. A LIABILITY WAIVER AND
MEDICAL RELEASE FORM WILL BE SENT WITH YOUR CONFIRMATION LETTER.
INFORMATION ABOUT FALL LESSONS
Rocking M Stables' regular lesson program is
structured like a school and, therefore, a September through May
commitment is required. Because of this, those that have attended summer
camp and wish to continue with lessons in the fall will have priority on
the wait list. There is a higher success rate with the students honoring
the yearlong commitment if they have had a chance to participate in the
program and decide if they are comfortable in it. This also provides an
opportunity to assess each potential student’s ability. Therefore when
it is time to schedule the classes, there is a better idea as
to where the student will fit into the program. The quality of the
program is kept high by limiting the enrollment.
